Silk Road used to be one of the most ancient roads that played key role in development of political and economic relations and exchange of cultures and ideas. The main product that was transported along the Silk Road was silk, but along with there were exchanged other goods such as jade, paper, gunpowder, different materials and lots of others. The road was open in the 2nd century BC, and lasted until the 18th century. Central Asia was an important region where the main branches have passed through. The territory of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was the extension link between the East and the West. Tajikistan was strategic southern connecting road. In Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan there were preserved the most of the archeological monuments of a time where cities and towns flourished and trade was boosting at a time.
